Another winner from Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series
will make his first Octagon foray when Jim Crute
squares off against Paul Craig
at UFC Fight Night 142.

Promotion officials recently announced the light heavyweight
booking. UFC Fight Night 142 takes place on Dec. 1 at Adelaide
Entertainment Center in Adelaide, Australia. The main card will air
on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass. A
previously reported flyweight tilt pitting Wilson Reis
against Ben Nguyen was
also confirmed for the card.

Crute improved to 8-0 with a first-round technical knockout victory
over Chris
Birchler
in a Contender Series bout on July 24. That earned
“The Brute”, who hails from Altona Meadows, Victoria, Australia, a
UFC contract. The 22-year-old is 8-0 as a professional, with five
triumphs coming inside the distance.

Scotland’s Craig halted a two-bout skid with a third-round
submission of Magomed
Ankalaev
at UFC Fight Night 127 on March 17. “Bearjew” is 2-2
in the Las Vegas-based promotion and 10-2 as a pro. Nine of his
career triumphs have come via submission.
