Antonio Conte’s position as Chelsea manager looks near untenable as his side’s ambitions of making it into the Champions League were put in tatters after being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Huddersfield.
The Blues lie fifth in the league at the moment and can still reach the top four, however, they require a win in their final game at Newcastle as well as needing Brighton to beat Liverpool at Anfield on the final day of the season.
Conte had a wonderful first season in charge, winning the 2016/17 Premier League title with ease, but things have not gone according to plan this time around.
Chelsea have needlessly dropped points against lesser sides in the league and they have fallen short in both the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
Although the Blues do have an FA Cup final against Manchester United to look forward to later this month, it seems increasingly likely that a cup triumph will not save the Italian from losing his job.
So who are the names in the hat to be Conte’s successor should he be relieved of his duties?
