Will we see Sarri in the Premier League?

Chelsea target Maurizio Sarri would be keen to of manage a Premier League club if a deal cannot be reached with Napoli, according to reports.

The 59 year-old reportedly has a clause in his contract which will allow another club to hire him for £7million – if they make a formal approach before the end of May.

According to the Evening Standard, the Italian wants a significant pay rise to his current £1.3 million-a-year deal.

He also wants assurances he will be given funds to revamp his ageing squad ahead of next season by the club’s hierarchy.

Sarri could deliver Napoli their first Serie A title in 28 years this season.

They are one point behind leaders Juventus with four games to go, having beaten the Old Lady 1-0 thanks to a late Kalidou Koulibaly header at the Juventus Stadium.

Sarri has been linked with the Chelsea job in the past, with Antonio Conte seemingly set to depart in the summer.

However, the Arsenal job could also tempt Sarri – provided they do not reach an agreement with former Barcelona man Luis Enrique.
