Could Dembele be waving goodbye to north London this summer?
Tottenham Hotspur are willing to listen to offers for star midfielder Mousa Dembele this summer, according to reports.
Despite becoming one of the club’s star players since his move from Fulham in 2012, Dembele could be on the move.
The 30-year-old was hailed by boss Mauricio Pochetttino as one of the ‘unbelievable talents of world football’ in February, but a contract renewal has not yet been agreed.
According to the Daily Mirror, the club are willing to sell him with 12 months on his contract left in the summer, rather than lose him for free.
The Belgium midfielder’s performances over two legs in the Champions League against Juventus saw him achieve great acclaim.
Although he was lining up against Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira, Dembele ran the games in both Turin and north London.
However, rumours of a move away have persisted with the Serie A side themselves reportedly even holding an interest.
Just last month, Dembele suggested the current campaign could be his last with the Lilywhites, maintaining he will talk about his future after the World Cup.
But the report goes on to say Tottenham are looking to cover every base, and have scouted a number of midfielders ahead of this summer, including Barcelona’s Andre Gomes and Atalanta’s 23-year-old Italy star Bryan Cristante.
