Klopp more than confident of Salah stay

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has stressed that Mohamed Salah won’t be leaving the Reds during this summer’s transfer window. The Egypt international has had a wonderful debut season with the Reds contributing 39 goals across all competitions.

Salah, 25, has continuously been linked with a summer exit from Anfield with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain said to be eyeing big-money deals for the attacker.

However, speaking in his press conference, Klopp has asserted that Salah will be at Liverpool for the next campaign, he said: “People ask me will he leave. I don’t think about it.

“I’m not confident he will be here next season. I know he will be. It’s only because people keep writing about it. We have a chance to create something here for the future.”

Salah is currently on 29 goals for the league season, and he is just six goals shy of becoming the highest-scorer – in a single campaign in the Premier League era.
