Rochdale boss Keith Hill has told talkSPORT his players will have no fear as they prepare to face Tottenham in one of the biggest games of the club’s history.

The Dale demonstrated incredible strength to first take the lead against Mauricio Pochettino’s side and then fire in a 90th minute equaliser to take the club to Wembley for only the second time ever.

And manager Hill is hopeful his team will overcome their nerves of the big occasion and seal an ‘impossible result’ against Tottenham.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, he said: “It’s a big game, for the supporters especially. This is only the second time in the club’s 111-year history they have gone to Wembley.

“We’ll be taking 5000 supporters, it’s great effort from the community and they deserve this opportunity. We’ll do our best to make the town proud.

“But it’s a big game for the players too. It’s a massive challenge.

“We’re going to get there early so the players aren’t star-struck by Wembley.

“An hour before the game, when the team sheets go in, we will be focussed on making sure we’ll stick to our game plan, but prior to that I’ve got to allow the players to enjoy Wembley, because some of them have never played there before and it will be highly unlikely that some of them will ever go there again.

“I don’t think there will be any fear. I want them to embrace the occasion and do everything they possibly can to come up with the impossible result, which is to beat Tottenham.”
